Hi there,
It is sad foryou to have this trouble in the beginning of the game... I will simply quit because it is so boring to be disconnected every X minutes...
It happens since August... never had troubles before... CCP is just ignoring the fact. really dissapointed.
I'm trying the cache cleaning atm... will send some feedback. I ve tried the multiple chat windows.. it appeared to work sometimes.. but today it just started again.
I am disconnected at every moment of the day.. not only at peak times... It is really curious. Obviously it only happens on my laptop (wireless)... but we will see in the next few days.
i will also try the port 26000 thing...

Hi,
The problem still occurs when clearng the cache, when opening many windows, and when changing the 26000 port. It became even worse yesterday evening, my router stopped multiple times... and don t tell me it s not EVE 's fault.
I will try to reset the router each time... and send some feedback again.
WE NEED TO SOLVE THIS F****** PROBLEM, I m not paying 3 accounts to disconnect every 5 minutes.

Hi again,
Somme news : - the problem seems to occur at peak times, like said above... Really embarassing when you have your drones out, I even have to use TI instead of TII ones, because I lost them every day. - However, I only was disconnected 2/3 times the last 2 days, it s quite a miracle for me... That only prooves that the issue is randomly appearing... It will be more complicated to fix.
Let s keep this post up, CCP must fix that.

Some news again:
- Discos appeared less often the last days... however, they happened. - I hope CCP will fix the issue today, on extended downtime... But it s good to know they are working on it.
Wait and see...

Some news:
I have less disconnections issues... I even thought that it was solved until today... One disconnection, while DOCKED! (unlike the post above).
I am really disappointed CCP doesn t answer!

I have to say... F***
More and more players are encountering difficulties with disconnections, patchs after patchs, days after days...
It is absolutely unplayable!
Why would it be our ISP fault? -the problem occured at the same time for everyone -we have many many different ISP -We re all from different part of the world
Why ffs would it be our ISP? is that a mass plot against EVE players from all ISP?

You don't seem to follow the thread from the beginning,

The funny thing is, the packetloss from my ISP is non-existent. I don't see how this could be an ISP problem. Packet loss is in italics, since the graph gets messed up a lil. That was just from a few moments of running ping plotter, but I saw similar results when I let it run through the entire 1500 samples.
Like I said, I see no ISP problem here. *shrug*
However, after reading this post: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=876044
I have found that switching Eve's default port from 26000 to 3724 does help things slightly. I still disconnect, but not as often.
You can give it a try by following the directions here: http://support.eve-online.com/Pages/KB/Article.aspx?id=405
Apparently, this port is not supported by CCP, but what can you do?
Honestly, you cannot find any relation between personal tweaks and better connection stability. I've tried every method they give, and...
Disconnects are randomly appearing, anyway.
So even if somebody think something is worth, nothing really changes. And even if we "only" get disco every hour instead of every 10 minutes... That's untolerable.

Originally by: Brawl Bodar I have similar issues since the last patch. Before Trinity 1.1.2 everything was running perfectly fine. Now I need to try to log on multiple times as the client is crashing before loading station environment. Even in game I do get a lot of random disconnects..
All that didn't happen before the 1.1.2 patch.
I am running Vista 64 Bit Business engl btw.
What I tried so far:
Cleared cache folder Reinstalled EVE client rebooted my WiFi router (didn't do that in more than one year!) disabled audio, hardware acceleration on the EVE client installed classic version.. put EVE in compatibility mode (XP SP2)
No change whatsoever..
Got a ping time of <50ms to the tranquility server. Whenever I get disconnected I can see three packets that take about 500 ms
As said before: This didn't happen before the trinity 1.1.2 patch..
What is even more curious, is that the problem occurs more and more often... AFTER patches
That COULD mean one thing : the new settings which may lower the lag, also may cause disconnects troubles... pure assumption... but the fact it s getting worse for every people patch after patch is not a really good point. Especially CCP answering they can't do nothing, and are barely responding here to send petitions... zZZzZZZ

Meh, customer services does not exist anywhere anymore. I am assuming that we won't see a change anytime soon. What it seems like to me, is that they know it's their problem, but insist on just ignoring it as long as possible.
I just find it ridiculous that they blame OUR ISPS when the pingplotter evidence clearly states otherwise. It's obvious that they don't even believe their own answers, because if they truly knew that it was our ISP's that is causing the problem, then why are they not giving us any other info that we could use to direct to our ISP's tech support so maybe this issue could be resolved? (Not that it would help, because they would probably blame CCP.) I think I may be making a call soon, maybe enough wrestling with the incompetent comcast team will get some info.
I fully agree with you... It is like they would like to hide the thing a long time enough to habit people to disconnections...
I barely imagine calling my ISP (always a stupid girl who doesn't know anything), telling them i have troubles with a MMO, and that they should fix it... What info could we give them?
As I speak, another disconnection...
Let's keep this thread on the first page anyway, when it will reach 30 pages, maybe CCP will react. (or not) |

LIES, it's your ISP and I will spam this until you finally understand I am right and you are wrong. I don't care about evidence because I don't need to, as long as I get paid.

"This is your ISP's fault, you should contact him"...
F*** you CCP, 5 months I am having disconnection troubles, never had anyone in the year before. So please can you just avoid to tell it is our ISP's fault, because I can easily assume we are not all french and have an "Orange" ISP connection, are we?
Are you so proud of your new anti lag system that you re ignoring some players who are encountering difficulties? are you accepting the fact that hundred of players will leave because of it? I guess so, hundreds of players less, against thousands of more without fleet lagging, is that it?
and NO I wont keep kewl anymore because I ve been kind for the other posts and I ve got no answer except : "run pingplotter. it's your ISP, bye"
What are you doing all day devs? except spoiling our money? Fu** ya for your "no response" politic.
